About Us
Ellen Saling, RN and her husband Gene Linton had a vision to create a home like setting for up to eight residents. They began building Deer Park North in 2002 and opened the doors for resident care in January of 2003. With the success of the Home Plus concept at Deer Park North, they acquired the property next door and built Deer Park South, opening in September 2004.
In July 2007, Ken Hartle and his business partner R. Dennis Casey purchased Deer Park Senior Group Homes from Gene Linton and Ellen Saling. Ken and Dennis have been in a personal service business for many years. It is their desire to maintain the level of care and comfort that Gene and Ellen have provided over the years. Ken also owns and operates LinnWood Place in Valley Falls, KS. Dennis lives in Olean, NY and maintains their other business, Casey, Halwig & Hartle.
Deer Park Senior Group Homes employs about twenty five full and part time qualified and caring employees including a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medication Aids, Certified Nurse Aids and support staff.
